Hi everyone,

I am in the process of attempting to learn the 3D aspects of DBPRO. My next project I'm working is a space-shooter with a top-down, 2D look, but will attempt to use 3D objects for the characters.

Knowing this, I was using the Screen Scrolling tutorial to learn how to create a vertical "scrolling" effect. I used the included image first and then attempted to use my own. However, I keep getting these blue effects on my background image when I test the scrolling code. Is there something I'm missing or not doing? To clarify, I have tried both JPG and PNG formats...both of which are doing the same thing.

Screenshot and Code Snippet are included. Help please?

I would assume the sprite is using pure black as the transparent colour.

Try using "set image colorkey" set to say a bright purple before you load the image.

Wow! Using the command you gave, and setting it to all blue worked. Thanks!

Now I have another question. I tried using one of the included DarkMATTER models to place over the scrolling background and it appears behind the scrolling background. I noticed then when I tried to move the app window as the scrolling stopped and the object would appear on a solid blue background. This area of DBPRO is new to me and I'd like to learn it. Is there something I'm missing again or doing wrong?

Try adding "Draw Sprites First" somewhere before your loop.
