I am having a strange export bug that has unexpectedly popped up.
I made the game "Fury" for the previous game making contest(which admittedly, wasn't very good). So I moved on and made a new model in 3DStudio Max 5.0. When I made the model for "Fury", I was forced to cut it up and link the individual limbs for animation. This method worked fine at the time.
So I chopped up my new model, and exported it BEFORE animation. It looked fine. The problem popped up when I moved the limbs' pivots for animation. I made a simple walking animation, and exported it.
I loaded it up, and my jaw dropped to the floor. All the limbs that had their pivots moved now came out of the bottom of the model's torso! They had all stacked on top of each other in this strange location! They still animated, but it looked pretty disturbing.
I was dumbfounded, and fiddled with the export options. I use the latest version of PandaX exporter. But nothing helped.
The strange thing was, I did the EXACT SAME THING to make and animate the model for "Fury", which worked fine. So just for, kicks, I loaded up the "Fury" model, and re-exported it.
"AAHHHHHHHH!" Now its doing the same thing too! I haven't changed any of my software: 3dsMAX 5.0, the same version of PandaX Exporter. The only thing I think I changed was I got the newest version of DirectX. All the old exports of my "Fury" model still work, but anything new I export with adjusted pivots does this...
Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
