Most games that I've played use command line switches to set up some key parameters prior to launching the game.

Can command line switches be used with DarkBASIC Pro executables? I've done a search on these forums but didn't find to much information about this technique.

Cheers in advance for any guidance,
BFM

You use the CL$ command. All it does is keep one string that you cut up yourself to get individual commands you want for your program.

Thanks heaps Grog!

As always, the answer was right in front of me. Cheers for the heads up.

Quote: "CL$
This command will return the string passed in as a command line when the program is run as a standalone executable."

EDIT: I'll post up a function when I've finished writing one.
