Hi guys,

So here you will find the official free release of the scifi pack called "Proximity".

The previous free release only included samples, this time around this will included items removed from the original pack.

It also includes stock media doors and some other things, currently I am working on getting a special lift segment working and a curve segment.

So hopefully it will be ready in the next few hours.

If there is any segments related requests you would like to see give me a shout.

Just been chatting to my neighbours teenage daughter and it turns out she's big into UFOs and aliens.

Which is cool because tomorrow she's getting abducted.

whats your lightmappingquality? that last screen looks a little off on the lighting there. the first curved piece. Is that just because there is no shader applied or something?

So busy with all those annoying little things and some other stuff in between.I have removed and added a few things. This one that I have added allows for easier level building with standard room segments. The different coloured lights will also be applied to the ceiling light.

Just one thing: In the older pictures the steel beams stay clear of the steel wall frames, while in the newer pics(like the ones right above) they seem to cut through the frame.

I have something for you. Can you add something like this room to this pack?

Here is a video of it for more reference.

Not to this one, but this would be ideal for the sewer pack after this one

Here it is, to able to allow all users to make use of the segments I have removed the the shaders.

I have removed the metal sections and only made used of the new concrete sections. That does mean you can't make use of the old ones.

Please do, the license is not applicable any more. The only exception is that the textures used may not be used in other meshes.

the old ones can be found here.

Well so far I found a few things that probably should be fixed.
1. T Junction is backwards.
2. Pipes are not textured.
3. Door is 2 segments away from where it should be.
4. Strange random plane going down the side of one of the tunnels.
5. Major drag on my fps, but thats probably just my computer.
6. Some minor texture overlapping where tunnels meet.
Attached a screenshot showing a few of the issues. Overall they are great. Just a few hiccups with a few minor things.

The door is correctly placed, Placing the segment from the middle from each segment.

Can't comment on that.

it is... : )

Will that cause problems ?

Nope you placed the segments on top of one another, each segment should be 3 segment blocks apart.

Where?

Here is a small sample map.

By the "T-Junction is backwards" I meant in the editor you have the arrow facing the wrong way for the stem of the T. I don't really know how to explain it. And I thought everything was supposed to be 2 segments away.... so my bad on everything else.

@WizardofId

I did some test maps (including game builds) and I have to say you excelled yourself this time. The 1 1/2 segment height is something I really could get used to.

Not only are the segments perfectly designed (love all the angles and the included lights) but also very inspiring storywise.

THANKS!
