2D All the way! / 2d basketball game help.

Im new to programming, but i wanted to make a 2d basketball game. I already have every sprite created (running, dribbling, shooting, ect) and i wanted to make it 3 on 3, if anyone could help me out that would be appreciated. thanks.

also i have DBC.

I have nothing against Darkbasic Classic but you can download the free version of Darkbasic Pro which has a lot more commands and it'll be faster than Classic for any game you want to make.

Hey thanks for the reply and the links! But i have checked and searched around for help on making any sports game in general and the reply seems to be the same, i know i wouldnt start with a basketball game but i would like to learn how to make one later on after i get the grip of programming. do you have any ideas on how to help with sports games?

It's about the same as any other program. You load everything you'll need to visually show the game and create routines to take user input from the keyboard/mouse and move the sprites/models around. I personally haven't done any sports games (I don't really like sports) but when you're ready to start it if you get stuck just post and we'll try to help you.
