Hello! I've been making a FPSC game, made three low-poly characters but I encountered a problem: textures are looking awful! I am currently using Sculptris and I would say that there are better texturing possibilities/programs than painting it completely in Sculptris.
Should I make base painting in Sculptris and then move onto Adobe Photoshop or something?
What kind of ways do you use when texturing your models?

Thanks,
TP

...this method has always served me well:

1. Generate and export custom model.

2. Generate UV Map.

3. Generate texture over UV Map layer in Photoshop.

Sculptris draws base colors well, you need to use different color shades to make the texture look good just by using that.

The problem is the UV layout sculptris creates , it's very hard to texture it in Photoshop properly.

When making models,I personally DO NOT use sculptris or any other scuplting program to texture.

Usually it's a process of model in sculptris , reduce poly-count , import to 3ds max , fix mesh (if needed) , unwrap uv there manually , export UV in a format with transparency , open that uv in Photoshop and texture it /I usually skip the sculpting part if it's not for a character/

Thanks!
What UV mapping software do you guys recommend?
Because I am stuck with my models because of I can't UV map them correctly, the textures in some spots go weird...
Argh! I am getting so frustated with those (spent over 5 hours to get UV maps correctly with no success)

Thanks,
TP
