I've created an XM8 (silenced/unsilenced) with modified EAI G36CSD Animations and added all the necessary animations for the ALT Weapon transitions (put on the silencer/take it off) and edited all the muzzleflash options, anims, switch to ALT key, and various other things. BUT, when I use it in game, when I press the 'X' key (I set the switch to ALT key to 45, which is 'X') nothing happens at all. Here's the gunspec:



Does anybody know where I went wrong?

You're missing...

alternateisray = 1

Without either alternateisray=1 or alternateisflak=1, the alt system doesn't get initialized.

also, if you use useempty= 1 you need to specify empty anims for all the anims not just the reload.

Okay, I see. Although, I've used only the empty reload before and that's all I need. Is every other empty animation just something extra or do I ABSOLUTELY NEED THEM?

EDIT: Also, is there a gunspec command that relates to the alternate fire loop (possibly 'altfireloop=X')?
EDIT #2: How do I make the alternate weapon an automatic (because it won't play the 'alt automatic fire' or 'alt zoom automatic fire' animation)?
