So I created a model of a castle and bookshelf and tried to put a texture on it when ever I do so it takes the main color from the texture (Example if I used wood the bookshelf would be pure brown.) The same thing happens to them if I put them in Unity or any other program...

Could any one give me a tip of whats wrong with it...?

.X and .Obj file for Castle attatched + .X and .3ds of Bookshelf attatched!
Thanks

no need mate,i downloaded your models & your problem is that you havent uvw mapped the models

i have very quickly mapped them for you & provided 2 basic textures so all you need to do now is make them fpsc ready

please be aware that the uvw maps are just auto mapped & not mapped the way i would do it if they were my own models

i dont know what software you are using but all you need to do is do a google search for uv mapping tuts for it & there should be some to get you on the right track.

hope this helps

cheers henry
