Since you guys showed some curiosity about the engine, i decided to continue working on it. I will try to update here about what have to be done and what is done. Tell me if you got any ideas .

Description

The Fluffly Engine is mainly based on habbo hotel. Still, i don't think it will be used for RTSes, until it'll be strong enaught to hold one. So basically it's all about pixel art, which is dedicated to isometric work. Still - many people may find the engine useful for their games, or atleast use it's placing system if they find it good.

The blue tile is the selected one, so there's a mouse over it.

Nice Effort, but seems more of a work in progress. Probably post on WIP board instead.

That's pretty neat.

I'd like to see a moving character and how you handle collision, map scrolling, drawing the character behind walls, map loading, object handling, etc.

I assumed those things were in progress since it was referred to as an engine.

I'm interested too. Source and examples for complete tile engine projects are actually scarce. Most authors stop after they get done with the easy part.

I've actually already got a tile scrolling engine going (collision, layers, smooth scrolling, line of sight, etc.) but I'm stuck on how to handle objects.

I wouldn't mind seeing this either, I have tons of isometric tiles but have a hard time working with them, been using flat tiles for my project. Here is a link to some tile resources:

Eh, placing these tiles really wasn't easy part . I do think it was the hardest... There's nothing hard left really. If you'd like scrolling, i would on your places expand the tiles, so they could take the whole screen (maybe make some more of them) & use my technique from Map Maker 2d, so display sprites and scroll only them. W/E, if you want, i can continue I will have much of free time for an week .

PS.
