so the light switching doesent work with static lights?

And dynamic lights seem to only illuminate dynamic objects (all the walls, floors etc are basically black).

Any way to get around this ? (without using ambient light since i need it to be at 0).

That is correct because you can only attach a script to a dynamic object.

There's only one method that I can think of, and it's not very optimized, but; when the 'light switch' is activated, rather than have it turn on a bunch of dynamic lights in the room, simply have it teleport the player to an identical room somewhere else in your level with different lightmaps.

damn, this makes the horror scene quite hard to make...

Guess we can blame lightmaps...
Cant spare enough ram to make identical scene, id be way over the 2gb limit.

Could just make a black fullscreen hud... but it would hide the hp bar etc also.

Or do any of the normal/spec shaders actually work with static object and dynamic lights?
