Hi everyone, I would like to know what other people thought about my WIP game. This is the first level only, it is quite short too.

Name Of Game:
Desert Base

Developer:
Uberxdominus

Fps Creator version:
X9, with 1.18 update

Story: Your are a plumber named Jason Green, you have been called by a commander military base out in the desert to fix leaking pipes and water tanks. You say you have an appointment already today, but you can come in tomorrow. When you get there tomorrow you find a devastated base with no one around. You see things but you don't quite know what has happened until you venture into he base and you discover you are not alone!

Screenshots attached: (don't know how to put them directly into the post)

All criticisms and ideas are welcome. (if someone has an idea of how to make the map look like it does not suddenly end that would be great!)

edit/ the picture was too big for showing like that on the forum
Would need to be 800x600 or similliar

Like this

Looks good for a start, but a little bit empty (judging from screenshots)

Ok I will try that, thanks.

How do you shrink a picture so its 800x600? Sorry don't know a lot about this kind of stuff.

Use a software like paint or photoshop or similliar.

Not too bad.
I think it's too empty, if you're at the base, where are the buildings?

Put cliffs and similar scenery around the area you what the player to be able to reach, to stop the player seeing the end of the landscape.

The story is a little odd (Stories are the hardest part for me ))
Why does a plumber have a gun?
Why did the military choose him to fix the leak? (Wouldn't a dangerous military base be secret?)

I'd like to see you continue and improve this work

[to put images into a post, just make an account on an image hosting site. And use the (img) &(/img ) tags, with []instead of normal brackets ]

good frame rates matter... and a low ping might help XD

Sorry about the gun he doesn't supposed to have one quite yet. My bad. I was testing out the lighting on the gun. Sorry.

Yea thanks for the suggestions. I think i will revise my plot.

Then that propably explains the amount of ammo you have... :/ Looks cool, I like the deserted style you got going over there, but you will block the way to go outside the level right?

Yea, don`t know if I am going to keep with this, I have started something that looks a lot better. I have purchased some of rolfy`s terrain, and it looks amazing. So I won`t be updating this thread for a while, I am sort of hooked on making models

Cheers,

It's really nice to see a fresh, original story like that, well done.

It's also good to see an outdoor level. To fix the suddenly ending problem, put some kind of invisible barrier in with a convincing looking sky-box.
