Not a tutorial, but a little program that will do it for you. Once you simply create the text popup you desire, you can view the script and see how it works.

I hope I still get the kudos!

thank you xplosys kudos to you!

probably my last question on this thread, can i make it possible that after the text is displayed that you have a choise of saying yes or no and then you get an object, like you start a quest and you get the keys to a guys house if you press yes? i am actually working on a rpg but with no quests i dont think it would be very... rpg...

I don't know the status of RPG MOD (I think that's what it is) you might look that up. With vanilla FPSC the question thing is doable but I'd have to think about the "getting the keys" part. There are some super scripters here like PlyStire and ConjuredEntertainment who could just snap their fingers and make it happen.

Alternatively and a little easier, you could use the text to tell the player where the keys are.

again thanks very much!

Well if you email me with a detailed description, I could do it for you as one that works for vanilla fpsc, but the buttons will not be easily accessible. Just say I want this said. If the user makes this choice, do this. If the user makes this choice, do this. You could use the "Y" and "N" keys, or the "1", "2", "3" ect keys. It can be done.
My email is;
the.pc-guy(at)live(dot)com
I am more than happy to do it for you for free, but what I can do is limited, as I am still learning, but for my current skill level, this would not be hard at all, and I could have it done for you in a day.

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.
