The title says it all. Just something I want to know. It helps in my decision making on object sizes.

I don't know the answer to that question, but If you look at a lot of the other posts on this forum you will find that 3ds objects don't load well into the dgdk, and there are few if any good converters that will preserve the objects original appearance.

i believe they are the same, but you should know that Z is up in 3ds max, but in GDK (or usually in direct3D apps), Y is up, so the exporter switches the axes

it's like, if you have a 1x1x1 cube in 3ds max, exporting it will generate a 1x1x1 cube to be ready for use in GDK, if you don't find them the same size, you can always scale everything to fit whatever you want, but i don't think it matters

Try exporting using the left handed system. As for animation I've not tried it, but the options on panda give you max ticks, etc. As far as the other forums have answered panda doesn't work properly exporting max animations.

I use panda perfectly for max animations, it also gives me the correct orientation of the object.

For me 1 unit in 3ds max is the same as 1 unit in dark basic. It also seems like it doesn't change the axis when imported to dark basic, so Z gets converted to Y.
