darksdk.lib should be in:
Program files->The game creators->DarkGDK->Lib->vs9
Check it is there?

In fact all your libs for DarkGDK are there but this is the first one it looks for.

No, the linker error just shows files in lower case for some reason.

Tools->options->projects & solutions->VC++ Directories

Check that under 'Library Files' it has the DarkGDK lib directory.

Hmm, the lib is there and VC++ is being told where to look, I'm stumped, anyone else?

Unless the install was corrupted. Might be best to re-install again in the right order. VC++ Express (don't forget to run once), DX 2007 and then GDK.
Before you do copy your project files elsewhere and empty out the folders.

I'd suggest also adding the debug version in
Program Files\The Game Creators\Dark GDK\lib\VS9Debug

It is about 585 KB, as opposed to 41KB for the version in lib\vs9

Otherwise, if you are compiling in debug mode, the linker will report "not found", I believe.

Amazing Simulation
