Hi! Unfortunately I don't know how to script, that's why I need some help please. What I want to do is: when an enemy dies instead of having the ordinary falling-to-the-ground-and-fade death animation, I'd want the enemy model to disappear where it stands, replacing it with some kind of big bloody explosion like the blood decal and putting a model on the ground that resembles a pool of blood and bowels. I can do the animation and the model. I just don't know how to script it. Please help!

Kind regards.

Well, you basically have to have the entity drop a marker, destroy itself, spawn your blood and guts model and put it on that marker then play the splat animation, call a few bloodspurts and voila, there you have it.

Sounds delightfully gross, I would love it. Would be really great for a zombie shooter, especially with a nice bloodsplat hud for a finishing touch. Normally it's a bit of a no-no to post script requests, but this sounds like it'd be really cool. Do you have the model built now? If so, I'd be willing to take a crack at the scripting aspect of it if you're willing to share the model.

I read that I shouldn't post script requests about a minute after I had postest mine. So a big sorry from me. I'm preparing my first real game right now and was looking for ways to make it more gory like over-the-top gory. I haven't built the model yet. I wanted to wait for a reply first. Don't expect too much though. I'm really just a beginner. Thanks for your advise, it will be good guide for me. If the model is finished and I post a picture of it and you still like it, maybe I will take you up on your offer.

Kind Regards, Caveman
