Hi all! After starting my last project, getting stuck and taking a break from it. For me, it is now Spring Break and I now have the time to solely focus on my project. I have noticed that RPG mod has returned and I am very grateful for it because it is exactly the mod that I needed. But, as it is my first time using it, I have some questions/concerns about it.

1. What version of FPSC is RPG Mod built from?

2. How does the inventory system work? I have read their manual but can't find a scripting command that would let me identify the button used to open/close the inventory or choose different inventory categories.

3. In the folder RPG_Mod\Setup\sample_game_folder there are 3 scripts that are named like rpg_setup.fpi and rpg_text_setup.fpi. What would these scripts be used for? Do I need to do anything in these scripts to create a working inventory?

Thanks for your help! If I can get this figured out I'll be working on my project in no time.

1) It depends on which version of RPG Mod you have. The most recent, I believe is built on 1.18.10

2) I did a keyboard mash, and from memory, it is "I"

3) These scripts are used to setup RPG Mod for use in the game. They control the inventory and other features of RPG Mod. I believe you would find the inventory scripting inside rpg_setup.fpi.

Phill,

This is not really the place to post about RPGmod problems - There is an unofficial thread on the FPSC Chat board for this, please post your problems in there. Alternatively there is also the RPGmod forum, the link to which you already have.

This board is for RPGmod scripts only.

Hi Phill

Download the latest version from the thread indicated by Ched80. It is dated 29 May 2011. It solves most problems.

It is an amazing mod, but takes some effort. Luckily the author is always willing to help.

And then the effort is rewarded redoubled: Currently I am working on a project that is only possible through this mod. It gives an "edge" to the normal FPSC experience.

regards

Eugene
