Is DBpro the only program I need to create good educational games? - not shoot em up stuff.

There is a multitude of titles out there that you can use... If its rapid application and you dont want to worry about as much flexability, go for something like RPGMaker...

it is totally possible to make educational games in DB.

ITs a lot simpler process than squeezing speed out of the main loop since the majority of these projects display a screen and accept an input.

very straight forward once u develop an idea and know some commands.
