Hi,

i am new to darkbasic and i am having problems with my landscape,
i can texture and create it but i am having trouble putting hight into it eg.... hills

if any 1 can help me please could u also explain how i could postion it eg.. into the centre of my landscape

Look in the codebase and search for 'hill' for a code snippet.

Hi, again

i cant seem to get this method of hills and mountains can any 1 help i tried refering to the manual and the was no use ?

The command you need is "set matrix height". If you look in the code manual it will give you more info but what the command does is raise specific points on a matrix to a certain height. So you would have to raise the heights of points on the matrix to form hills. Also if you want random hills and mountains use the randomize matrix command. Hope that helps.

P.S.-You mentioned you could texture matrixes if you look at my recent post "help with loading images and texturing matrixes" you'll see i'm having trouble with that. Can you give me some help?

Its still work in progress, but the code to texture the matrix and set the heights works fine.
