3 Dimensional Chat / milkshape only runs in 256 colours :-(

hello
i've just downloaded milkshape and when i open it, only the 3d viewport window appears and all the rest do not appear...then the program freezes and a 'end now' thing comes up and i have to close the program. as i have windos xp pro, i thought it could be some compatibility issue, so after adjusting settings, i have found out the program can only be run in 256 colour mode - which makes the program virtually unusable ( the vieworts are solid black etc)
does anybody else have this problem? i have a 1.3ghz comp with a 32mb tnt2 graphics card...

any help appreciated

No problems like that here.

I'm running it on win98se though.

Think you should go over to the milkshape forum for more info on your problem ..... cos this is really the wrong place.

ok i fixed it by downloading the 'mesa drivers' too. thanks anyway
