@Egg Head of Peace and Love: Thats an elite guard of the Order fraction (formerly named "time"...not sure what it will be in the game) The white one carries battlerifles, sniperrifles or a special weapon while the blue-white one will have assaultrifles or RPG's.

I can't show much action scenes as I don't have the VWeaps for the guns yet and some enemies will have scripts that makes them react to the level (take cover behind something or move through a door...stuff like that) so ...combat will come towards the end of the production. Until then, I show you some characters that stand around

I'm also writing a tutorial where you can follow me through the creation of an entire level for shavra!

The screens look great and all (plus for some reason I just want to play so I can jump from the top platform to my death lol)...
BUT, I can clearly make out the American flag on that soldier's uniform still. Perhaps erase it completely... or you could
just replace it with their faction logo.

I just thought I'd point that out.

I'm half done with the level that will be explained completely in the leveldesign tutorial I recently spoke pretty much off. You can see what it is. Its a dark matter generator core that needs to be shut down in a puzzle.

Stunning use of bloom!
I love everything apart from one thing; you appear to be using a fur shader from the '2006 - Free Shaders Pack' but it is the one that has the bad specular effect. I'd recommend using the one by Evolved.

Thanks! Even though the bloom is happening by itself, I am just adjusting the lights to it

I like the specular of it...it gives it some undefinable depht...like a black hole...or an incredibly polished black pearl.

hve you thought of making an aura around the big black ball in the middle of the core? Kind of like a real black hole? Heres a pic to show what I mean. You could make a dynamic 4 poly 2d plane entity with a black hole texture on it and give it a script that makes it rotate.



Maybe make it a bluish color to fit with the game more. Anyway your game is looking amazing as always!

technically a real black hole doesn't have any color...or light for that matter (science pun), so there isn't any refraction or light interaction in a real black hole. just saying.

This level looks really interesting, I'm curious about what kinds of puzzles you have.

Technically you can't actually see dark matter either (or touch it) But it would still look very cool anyway... It's a video game so it doesnt have to be "real" too

no Cut scenes

I agree Wolf I skip Cut scenes all the time.I use to like them when games first started using them back in ps one and N64 days.the worst game that had Cut scenes was shadowman.your game kind of re-mind me of that game except your game looks way better.

Not really, cell shaded games have those thick black outlines around characters and objects.

Important

All storyrelevant levels are done and the models are ready to be imported. So this game served its function (to practice)...everything else is not that mandatory to me so I decided to throw in a little game in which you decide important elements and the future of this game.

This is how it works: Copy and paste this form in a code snippet and add an X or # in the selected answer, Please do this with every question. I let this go until monday next week (where I have a dentist appointment of doooom).

So I really hope that a few people participate here and fill out a questionnaire ...otherwise the whole thing looses all its meaning

A: Should the game have a lot of radio chat and dialogues?

[] Yes! The story and the characters are important
[] No! I would rather like to keep playing without nonsense interruptions
[] Only a few extra besides the necessary! I prefer flowing first person shooter gameplay

[] Add 'em! I love this stuff and the game is set far in the future anyway
