Hello, ive been trying to come back to fps creator, so i started a project to get rid of rust, and for that i chosen an old project of mine, Vault, wich dates back to 2009, and i must say, screenshots DO reveal some sort of improvement

Story:
The utopic city of Daltown, filled with life, criminal rate at the lowest level ever, and everything was peaceful, until a great discovery,the cure for cancer and other viral diseases. after 3 months, everyone who had the cure applied (even children, to prevent the sickness in the future) went mad and started attacking everyone, the police retained them and many were stopped, many of them died after a few hours, and then everyone that was outside, was dead, when your family hears about the Viral Emergency Broadcast from the news channels, you proceed onto a 'Community' Refugee center, but soon you find that the illness is extremely infective, and that its affecting many people on the center, the police takes extreme action for the better good, and checks every man,child and women, in order to search for any syntomes that could draw the illness, the ones who were safe, procedeed onto a '50s military bunker, wich was also used by the local mayor for storage in the roads construction, to save any storage payments, the door was sealed, but it isnt safe, the bunker has so many entries throughout the town that is impossible to live there, those entrances are helpful, as you can go out and search for supplies and come back, now winter has come, and cold starts to attack everyone, walls get wet from humidity, and some have already died from hypothermia or lost some part of the body (E.G: Leg,foot,toe,hand,arm,etc).
the refugees havent looked around the bunker, they stay in the most exterior parts, as the mayor, who is within your lines, say the bunker its like a huge maze, that goes all around the town.
they have been arming forces and telling all phsycally capable men to form up several search groups in order to search any way out of town, without using the main entrance, and avoiding the mad at all costs, or, if infected, commit suicide,from the lack of people capable of walking long distances they send individual groups to search, you're one of them, a 19 year old ex student, now a militar, you are given a pistol, and just 1 magazine, they say it wont be a problem, the bunker still IS a military bunker, and there could be lots of ammo inside of it...

I suggest adding some more pipes running along the ceiling or walls, but I love the feel of it!

-Continued with a small scene

Looks good and clean.... Maybe a bit to clean.
You are speaking of a bunker, wich is, is most cases, filled with dirt and rust.

but stil, great job

I don't know, it doesn't look too clean to me, but you know, you can always try putting dirt and stuff there and if it doesn't work, then go back.

sorry for no updates, i've been out 'cause of health issues going on with my brother, the only thing 'Fpsc' related i did was this Medieval texture, seamlessed by Clone stamp (Yes i use Clone stamp)

Try to align the texture so the bricks won't split up on floor and ceiling. This will make the texture attach so much nicer to the floor/ceiling texture.

My critic on the screen would be...there is a roadblock in front of a massive metaldoor. For what purpose? Nobody ever uses roadblocks on places like this... the other stuff looks fairly decent

and a bug question!

Whenever i put an X segment imported(from me) (only on some) it throws me an error when loading, and its really starting to annoy me, it only happens when X segment is in the map, that was imported by me, doesnt matter whenever i use Bond1 base or any other segment base. [such as Doomster Importer]

Not really, last thing i made on fpsc, was the overhaul of mummy characters for my Defy The Odds Entry...

could be used for vault, work on Vault will be resumed after the competition, I MAY work a bit here and there, reenforce some detail on the levels


I do have some ideas for levels already setted up, Level 1 will be the external side of the bunker, wich of, if you read the first post, you'll see that it contains lots of Road Construction Items, and that might interrupt the continuation of the character exploring deep the bunker... the second level will embrace an old hotel, called Leafbury ( leaf Bure-a pronunciated)

here's a screen on the Characters that MIGHT be used for the game




another hint is that Vault is in the SAME world as my DTO Entry
The segment seen above is the Hotel segment for both Vault (Leafbury) and DTO's Segments they got a lot of variations so no worries on similarities

The shader is from Viral Outbreak, modified a bit so it looks skin like.

That retexture is killer! Absolutely love it, very creative. Almost reminds me of the creatures from I Am Legend. Keep it up man, I really look forward to seeing further progress on this project

Yes, My Main Inspiration was the Grunt in I am Legend, the story on DTO will be based on that world, on the events, not on the actual events, just the way that the virus reacted, there will be an Alpha as well using the big guy from Viral Outbreak(for alpha).



Now onto some story stuff

Enemy Names / Ideas:

Grunt-Normal / Common Enemy
Captain- Boss of Common enemy, would appear with Large Packs of Grunts


Story of People Reaction to Virus
The children and teenager would die from the Virus, Since their inmune system is not fully developed, 18+ would be able to resist the virus, but many would die, only the stronger would survive...and turn to this...

Maybe make a spider flesh dude with bone spikes out of his back! that would be sweet!

No but seriously, I really like the characters! Maybe dirty them up a bit, but I bet when theyre in a darker atmosphere they'll look even more awesome.

Hamburger, Actually, The ones shown there are the 'surface' ones, There's a dirtier and darker one for the bunker.

Jaws if i remember was the big guy, i retextured him in the SAME style as that one

Luckily, adrien, the Alpha one, who lags detail, wont be present on all levels, around 2 per whole game so, no worries, the Grunt one is not so laggy in detail, and i'm focusing on the adventure part aswelll, I want to try a different approach at that, gameplay and stuff
