FPS Creator X10 / which version is the best

I have installed the lastest version v1.18 of fpsc , but I found my computer halted everytime when I build the game , so I am planning to re-install the fpsc, any suggestion which version will run more stable ?
I am using 2.53ghz i5 laptop, 4gb ram
