how do i make the zoom in of a gun into more or less a red dot sight?
like the mp5 p90, l85, and the Em4a1

First you add a scope (I dont have those guns so i dont know if there is already have a scope) then edit the scopes texture I have also seen it done by adding a plane outside the scope (right infront) with a dot on it.

You have to edit the gunspec and add airmod commands. Here is a thread that has already made gunspecs for certain guns.

how do i make the scope transparent, when it zooms in its a solid beige, by default. and how do i make the scope closer to the screen?

You edit the texture of the scope in an image-editing program as I said above mate. There you can make whatever you want transparent.

what file type and witch program should i use? gimp doesnt have a transparent brush or fill, so what sould i use? also how do i make it so when i zoom in it dosent show the zoom scope, and how do i make it so the dot sight is closer to the screen. thanks

Use GIMP. Add an alpha channel to the models texture. Cut out the part with the scope and paste as new layer (use lasso tool). Reduce the opactiy on that layer to whatever youd like. Save the texture as dds, tga or PNG.

About the zoom scope; Im not sure. I think you change something in the gunspec. Try searching for it. I think its simplezoom= command though I could be (very) wrong
