oh yeah back to the main question can i resize it in the coding to make it the right size and its about the size of a real mp5 in real life thats how big it is i think the weapon is a tech9 or somthing in my game heh....so anyhow how how and uhh how?

If you don't have a 3D modeler program then use the SCALE OBJECT command to resize your gun. To place the gun correctly you're going to have to eye-ball it and keep adjusting the position until it sits where you want it to.

ok now i have this

rem add weapons
load object "1WALTRGUN.3DS",500
Fix object pivot 500
position object 500,0,-50,45
Lock object on 500

ok but now a new problem the clip to the weapon looks like it is off to the side a little (not connected to the gun). shouldi u se a limb command? or use a glue command?

make a dummy cube that will be the position of the camera and glue the object to this default mesh that will be limb zero or make another limb hanging off the camera cube and glue it to that extra limb.

like this example suggests

its an example to demonstrate a method with a safety shell around it so you dont have to second guess where stuff goes.

lol too much code indeed, and my pink lamingtons have all escaped into the purple jar of black jellybeans.

suit yourself tho.

I'm not an experienced 3d coder in any sorts, but I played around with BB3d and converted to DBC and am trying to make a first person shooter like yourself. One of my design guys is drawing a lot of inspiration as far as physics goes from HALO. I'm scared to think of what he really wants, but in order to incorporate headshots and stuff like that you probably need to have a model for the player. This will help you decide how far along the Y axis the camera should be, and will save time if you decide to program some multiplayer. I hope I was at least a little help.

if you take the time to explore my example you will be able to pull the camera back into a 3rd person perspective mode at any time as well saving you lots of grief should u want to see the arm getting blown off or something.
