I'm finally starting to get my head around the shader system - and in particular the role that the alpha channel plays in the spec map - both when using the illumination shaders and the bump shaders. I should have some pretty cool examples to show soon.

On the scripting side of things I think I may have a few things to offer too.

@NIlooc223, I know right? It's like the great mystery in x10. There's a lot of false information on the forums about it too. Not intentionally false but we just didn't know and it isn't documented anywhere (that I know of). I've definitely benefited from a lot of help - especially from Le Shorte and others. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't blow 100s of hours trying to get it all figured out. And even now there a few things that I really don't know why they work - just know that they do.

They design behind the shaders is actually really quite brilliant - just a shame that we never got official documentation. I'm guessing there are a few things out there that no one is even aware of.

ALSO, we should try to get Michael X to contribute to this... View his project under "Works in Progress." He's doing amazing stuff with the shaders and has figured out some of the mysteries relating to lights and shaders.

@srealist:

Could you send me an email, with whatever email you use for your google account? If you don't have a google account, could you create one and send me an email, so I can add you to the list of contributors.

Just curious, has anyone here ever tried making FPSC X10 shaders with FX Composer?
