also, what does AoD mean?
it reminded me of an old (and i mean OLD) project called age of doom (30 years old?)

Its all good M8 not every dev has the same style. Nor the same taste in the games they play and make... Myself I am very much a fan of any Dark/Gothic game style.. but also a big fan of twitch combat... So you'll be seeing a lot those 2 styles in any title from AoD Software Studio.

I know. If that's what you like then go for it. People tell me my lighting is a tad dark... but I like it just the way it is in my game! I understand you man.

actually squalker this looks awesome if i am honest, take on others critisisms but know what is critisism and what is just putting your work in progress down.

as to the image i like it, has a sort of unreal style with lots of grain and shine, it definately stands out differently than the usual type,

good work keep it up and

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

Bestorio Dam that was how long ago for ages of doom I mean The Ages of Doom the first Domm game

As for the shaders, again i agree in that they are way OTT and i think it is ruiningthe looks of the game, I mean rotten skin should not be Shiny but more of a dull gory look, and they just look to metal like. Sorry! but have to be honest

Apart from that the game is a thumbs up for me, as i like the looks of the characters.

@spudnik... m8 I just have a different way of looking at game design. I could care less about making the most realistic looking game. To me its a game and above all else it must be fun to play. If I want realism I'll go outside for a few hours As long as we can make games that are fun play and have there own style that doesn't follow what has be come the norm then I will be happy with what we have made.

@Squalker, I know what you mean by creating a fun game, and so if the game is turning the way you like it, then your doing a great job, as it is hard to get things the way one intends

So can't wait to see a demo and get a better look at the characters, cus they look great.
