Write something in Finale then pay the local High School band to perform it... hahah

Actually... GigaStudio (not Ejay.... 11hz sampling and loops, why not just buy Acid Pro 4.0 for hells sakes?)

Acid Pro can be found at http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/showproduct.asp?PID=704 for the princely sum of $399...

That depends on what you want it to do.

Personally, I've used acid and it is a RIP OFF. If you want to write high quality music, I recommend you buy Fruity Loops 4. It's 50 or 60 dollars to download, way cheaper and WAY better.

Get melody assistant, you can write really emotional music in that.

And its 15 euros!

i agree with HZence. acid pro is the biggest piece of crap ive come across when looking for music programs. .
I much prefer fruityloops. in acid you have to actually record riffs first, whereas in fruityloops you can make the riffs

http://www.myriad-online.com/cgi-bin/secureorder.pl?lang=1&from=1 (the Europe order page)

"Melody Assistant for Windows" (18 euros)

You won't unlock VIrtual SInger which is just na extra demo you get, to get rid of the nag screen just rename the virtual singer folder in the melody assistant directory.
