I'm using Studio 2008 Express, and running though each example project. Most have worked so far (of course getting rid of the atl stuff in order for them to compile).

However on TextInput, I never can get any input. I get a text input box with a flashing cursor but when I type text, it doesn't show any text and when I press enter, the text box goes away but nothing prints. I run the same example in AppGameKit BASIC and it works fine.

Also for the HittingSprite example. In Tier 2 I get sprite id of 10001 no matter where I click (backgound or either poker chip sprite). In AppGameKit BASIC this example also works as expected.

Do any of you also have this problem or is it something wrong with my setup?

Windows 7 64-bit, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Express

All other examples up to TextInput work . Haven't tried any after HittingSPrite yet. I'll update this thread with any other problems if I find any while running the rest of the examples.

For some reason the Visual Studio tier 2 examples seem to be missing a bit of Core.cpp, you can fix it by adding:

to the switch statement in the WndProc function in Core.cpp.
