It seems we are all doing parallax scrollers I have a shooter in progress using it myself. I would hardly call it feeble either, it works and is as smooth as agk permits. Noticing the occasional glitch with my scroll, I tried the elf demo game and found that too had a similar twitch.
Nice demo.
