Every so often I see people post the term "BUMP" in a thread. There is like an ongoing conversation then someone says "BUMP" with nothing else - forgive me but what does "BUMP" mean?

Just thought I'd ask.

Because it get's bumped upto the top of the page, like it skips all the other posts and starts at the top again. Not an ideal term, because I always think of being 'Bumped' as being dropped, like 'They bumped me outta the school play for wearing a bra again mom'.

oh, ok. But is the person posting the "Bump" showing some sort of displeasure with the thread? Like "this is all serving no purpose other than to Bump this to the top" ?

maybe I am reading too much into it.

Thanks

I don't like someone just typing bump in a reply. It's like saying hello to someone twice on the same night. At least if you want to bump a topic, you could type something useful. Like "I was hoping for more replies" or something.

yeah, that's true too. Alot of times I just don't post anything if I don't know the answer, but I see how bump could be useful to the original poster...

BUMP!
(lol, sorry, had to do that!)

Does Van B wear bra's on a regular basis or not?...

*Bump*

Well it depends what you call regular, like it depends what else I'm wearing . I'm no freak, I don't just sit in my mothers bra listening to Cliff Richard like some sort of psycho - Usually just when I go out drinking with the boys.

A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. If that's fighting in a war, publically speaking his mind, saving a baby from a burning house, or wearing his mothers dirty lingerie, it's just gotta be done.

Insiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!
