I've downloaded the AppGameKit Player for my iMac, but how to I send it onto my iPad for testing? I can't seem to find an AppGameKit Player for the iPad.

The Mac AppGameKit Player is used for the Mac, not for iOS devices. For those later ones you'll have to wait for Apple to approve the player (it's under its way...).

Why do those who are wrong always desagree with me?

Or, if you are a registered developer with Apple, you can compile the AppGameKit player for iOS in XCODE on your iMac, and build it to your connected iOS device (your iPad). I've been able to do that with both an iPad and an iPod Touch.

But you gotta have a dev license from Apple, and it costs $100.

Hold the phone.

They've released the player source?

Rich, with which version of XCODE and iOS SDK did you compile it? I ask because it almost never detects an app throught the network or hangs up.

Mmmh, I think I have XCode 3.2.5 with iOS 4.2. Maybe that is the problem.
