I use the ink command for the textcolor and backgroundcolor of print and text commands, but it is not working. The foreground color is the chosen color, but the background color is always black, no matter what color I choose. DBPro does not give any Syntax error or any other error for that matter and I have searched the help file extensively.
What am I doing wrong?

By default, the background of DBPro text is transparent, not black. You can use the SET TEXT OPAQUE command to disable that transparency and to use the background colour you've specified.
