You have to export the terrian as an a .X file..

Also save the texture from the terrain...

then use entity workshop (search the forums for it) and use it to open up the terrain .X file and scale it how you like add the texture file you saved to it... them it will save it as a FPSC ready entity..

You can then later take the texture file from entity it create and edit it so its more FPSC X10 friendly by creating a Normal and Spec map texture files for it..

Hope this helps you get started,

Soviet176 did a tutorial a while back, it's in the x10 doc, here:

Thanks both for you help. I did what it said in the tutorial and i get one .x file and some .BMP file numbered like (1,4) (2,4) (3,4) (4,4) and Entity Workshop will only allow me to load one .BMP file.

1.) You shouldn't use .bmp files for textures, I'd recommend .dds or .png files.

2.) You can't texture the model with multiple textures, you can only use one. If you want it to have multiple textures, you'll have to create a UV map.

Hi budokaiman.

Ted automatically saves the textures as .bmp even though i selected .dds and the .bmp is default. Could you tell me the best tool to create a UV map out of the textures?

I have googled but not really sure what i am looking for.

Many Thanks

Yea that was a very long time ago. Lol it would be nice to see FPSC collision system work with terrains like these. However, a bit of advice. I use terrains now if I want to do like, moutins in the background or something. With a flat floor, so this way you can put segments above the terrain, just make sure the textures match. Then you have a pretty cool zone.
