Hi I have a simple test for the bump mapping.. I have tried and tried but cannot bump map anything other than a primitive box.
I have tried loads of 3DS and X objects and even the other primitives such as sphere but it just crashes every time...
please help, here is my code... like I said, just a simple test...

set point light 0,-200,200,200

load image "cupboard_bump.tga",1
make object box 1,50,50,50
set bump mapping on 1,1

do

cx#=wrapvalue(cx#+mousemovey())
cy#=wrapvalue(cy#+mousemovex())
cz#=wrapvalue(cz#+mousemovez())
rotate camera cx#,cy#,cz#

if upkey()=1 then move camera 5
if downkey()=1 then move camera -5

if leftkey()=1 then position light 0,-200,150,200
if rightkey()=1 then position light 0,-200,200,200

sync

loop

I have tried replacing the "make object box with anything and it just doesn't work, it just crashes..

Are you sure that your 3D-card supports bump-mapping?

I didn't steal it!

I have a GeForce 2 MX 400 and DBPro says my card dont support bump mapping, although Direct X has had bump mapping since DX6 . Also Doom 3 runs supposed to run on a GeForce 256 and that has bump mapping?

Strange.. as I know, bump-mapping is done with multi-texturing and all GeForce 2 -cards supports it.

The evil plan is now even closer!

I also have a geforce 2 mx 400 and I am able to bumb map in DB 1 but not in DBPRO, I know this as I tried the showcase that checks all that stuff on the asteroid and bump mapping was not available. feeling a little gutted..

What is the recommended card for DBP that will support all features that DBP does..???
