Hi, I recently got a new windows 7 computer but every time I try to run a test game, it crashes. How do I fix this?

I also installed Directx 10 because I couldn't find Directx 11.

I take my tea seriously, oh and my story writing.

Please provide your fix for future people that encounter this problem. Do also give a more detailed thread title so people can find it via the searchfunction.
