If you search for ladder there are a lot of threads about them some containing helpful content.

If you are stuck for a ladder then you can always download one from a very old post of mine here;

Its a ladder segment and not an entity and all needed files should be in the .zip file together with instructions.

Still works for me so should be fine.

Thanks, Uman. We did not realize you had a ladder that was a segment. This is a great addition to the library.

I could possibly write a ladder script, for a trigger zone that would be at the base of a ladder. And a trigger zone at the top of a ladder. But you'd need a segment of a ladder.

I've created a ladder that's based on rolfy and xplosys' manual lift scripts. When you approach it and 'use' it, an invisible anti-grav platform spawns under the player's feet. You then use the 'page up' and 'page down' keys to ascend and descend the ladder. However, I've only got it working for the player starting off at the foot of the ladder, I can't get it to work with the player starting off at the top. As soon as I get that figured out, I'll release it to the forums (pending getting permission from rolfy and xplosys of course ).
