Hello everyone! I have not been on the forums in a while because of school, but i have found some time to work on my FPSC related stuff. I have a question to anyone that feels like answering:

"How might i get a camera bobbing effect? If you have played the game Brink then you know what i am talking about. Like, when you run the camera kind of shakes as if you are actually running. Is this possible with vanilla fpsc?"

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day ;D

You probably need to make a script to show/un-show different HUDs that simulate running, but only when the player is pressing any of the movement keys. If you need help with such a script, I'd be happy to help, but I have to go to a football game to play with my band for the half time show.

Happy to help,
Akanto

Im horrible at writing scripts. I tried over the summer and i just could not fully understand it

IM NOT ASKING ANYONE TO WRITE ME THE SCRIPT! I was merely asking if anyone knew how this might be accomplished, and if it were possible. You gave me a great answer Akanto! It was just what i was looking for!

I guess i could try to learn scripting again.. I only made one script which was pretty basic, so i don't have a lot of experience..

Thank you for your response Akanto! And i hope you do well with your band!!

Thanks, I thought we did pretty well!

On topic:
I could create a script for you, but you need to create the different HUDs, and that's most of the work.

Thanks,
Akanto

You have to create pictures (normally 1024x768) to display as the HUD.

Oh, then I think you would need a mod unless you want to use "camshake=X", which isn't really suitable, as it's so quick.

Well i was meaning any way really.. But like, what exactly would i do with the pictures? You mean make multiple pictures of my hud, but move them around a little? That wouldn't really create a camera bobbing effect would it :/

If you played them in a sequence, then it would simulate movement, but if you're looking for the camera bobbing, then you would probably need a mod, because like I said, "camshake=X" wouldn't cut it.

wasp has ifrun-routines, and the pro-version will provide different additional cameras and very nice movement-options for both, additionals and player-cam. so it should be possible with wasp-pro.
