Yep. 30,000 hits to my site this month.

So I lied slightly.

Actually, that was 30,000 requests which equates to about 2,000 people who actually came to my site.

Thanks to the

- 5 of you who seacrhed google "code snippets darkbasic", "darkbasic code snippets" and, bizarrely, "what is an msi file".

- And to the 6,000 of you who viewed my avatar

- And to the 89 of you who downloaded the Mercenaries in Space demo

Still hasn't beaten august's record total of 44,927 requests though!

Watch this space, I'm getting all of the snippets etc together and hopefully my library should grow and grow!

On a similar topic...if anyone uses Google adwords (I see you do TGC), here's some friendly advice:

Check your content targetted advertising!
I switched it on, it swallowed 75% of my daily budget for 2 months. When I looked closer I realised I hadn't got a single sale from the targetted ads! Switched it off again...sales from Adwords click-throughs went back up by over 100%!

Have to say I'm envious of TGC...in a market where only 4 companies are advertising on Adwords!

yup a good 10k of them were me trying to download Mercs in Space... i still don't blasted have it either, i hate ultra-firewalled servers - its one thing to block incomming but out going is stupid.

i thought it was cause of my own firewall, but i've tried 3 different walls and even none at all - still cuts out 18seconds in (~50%)

Remember when I put that hit counter in my signature? That got up to about 14,000 hits before I took it off.
