Everyone who is considered a "nerd" by outside standards (Including everyone here - me too - lol) is envisioned as an undesirable white male with glasses and a face that is covered in acne....
I - for one - am NOT approving of this prejustice, as I am not at all accurately described as such. I am a white male -BUT!!- I do get much attention from the ladies, and have a high social status within my high school environment.

I feel better already!!

Now, my next bone to pick involves females in here...Are there any?
You can't tell by the way people speak, and I'm not going to check everyone's profiles to find out (besides - no one even fills em` out) ....So I would like to know if there are any belles in here....

if being a nerd means I am very good with computers, I get good grades, and I consider programming fun, I'll be the best damn nerd I can be!

i never got the whole nerd deal to be honest ... must be like an american thing.
it must come from that who 'school spirit' stuff (oh can you imagine an english school with a pep team... LMFAO!! priceless man)
seriously though, i was a straight A student - i barely even worked for it. And yeah I pretty much majored in IT, Electronics & Physics (all 3 fields my dad's a PhD in, you don't get away with being a dumbass when you dad is a Dr. :: sighs :

But hell I still had a social life, and the brainy students were hardly treated badly by the 'jocks' or 'slackers' ... hell it was only the girls who wanted to be with those twats who wanted to smoke pot by the bike sheds each day that hung out with them.

me and my mate had alot of fun picking on the mellow yellows ... was more fun getting them to say mellow yellow - LMAO. They thought they were all tough and rebellious but the truth of the matter was, everyone picked on them for being twats.
For such a posh school we all got into alot of fights too, not like the one sided picking on crap niether - remember 2 real good'ens i had.

One was when i was in 1st year (7th grade?) this guy in the 3rd year didn't like me, can't remember the reason so he tried to jump me at lunchtime ... we ended up having a fight infront of the headmasters office. Remember hearing, "OI! ... YOU TWO ... IN HERE NOW!"
Got off scott free cause I was a 1st year hahaa, also gave him a pretty nice bloody nose

another one I had remember bloody well. Me and my mates were playing football with a tennis ball :: grumbles dumbasssize3andbelowballrules :: ... well some jerk from the sixth form though, well lets play keep away. My mates were all like "ahh let him get bored and throw i back" But like it was the first time in weeks i hadn't been in detention ... i wanted to play footy!
So i pushed him into a wall, at which he grabbed my head and kneed me with some force. Burst open the inside of my cheek.
God i'll never forget just opening my mouth and spitting out a tonne of blood and this crowd of people who'd come in to see a fight got splattered in blood going "yuk!!" hahaa
best part was i didn't give up fighting the guy til the teachers pulled us away from each other. Both ended up in the nurses office bleeding everywhere hehee, looked like some kinda murder scene outside (^_^) ... best fight EVER

god i miss school

on the plus side i can repair a TV and explain why and how the light diaodes work in that oh so magical way all at the same time as well as explainging the signal oscellation.

The best thing about school is confusing the 'lesser able students' with long and complicated words, and sarcasm hardly anyone in my school understands sarcasm (thats possibly why I have that reputation as I probally said sarcasticly 'yes I spend all my time writing viri or something along those lines).

The worse bit about school though is IT I mean we have to explain what a cell reference is - worse yet what a cell is for a GNVQ!!!!!!!

Nah, I can't be a nerd.. I've looked it up in my dictionary, and on my personal computer, and it's not on my psion. Maybe if I put my specs on I'll find it better..hold on...

Nerd is just a slang word, for a high achieve socialité
basically anyone who places thier education above all else, suchas socialising with friends, personal hyguiene (now that the killer for me, bleck!), oftenly associated with 24hr computer access ... which usually means they end up wearing glasses from the eye strain.
And generally no sense of fashion

well ya know silly stuff really... more oftenly from anyone who is different from being popular.

Yeah, Randi left. She couldn't take a few jabs at her character, and she let it get the better of her. She told me DB was just a small hobby for her though, so she aint missing out much. Bit of a phase, or somin.

Btw, the definition of geek is something like "circus performer in a freak show who's act often includes biting the head off a live chicken". How cool is that?

As for the nerds thing, I am definitely a nerd. I spend a lot of time on the computer, and I'm even doing a degree in Communication Systems, which is all about networks, coding, websites and sh*t. I download porn, I play games, I write music into the early hours of the morning, and even at 22 I still get the odd bit of acne. So I am a nerd. Come on!

Only difference is, I go out, have friends, and I get laid. And seeing as the main draw back to being a nerd is not getting laid, and not going out, then with them two out the way, nerd life is good!

i was gonna get to work on something but ya reminded me, i'm gonna call up dave and ask if he wants to go for a sunday pissup
they got space invaders in at the irish pub down the road (they gusy import Guiness and store it properly PRAISE THE LORD ) ... after a few rounds its fun to see which of is can get the best scores.

Yes Nerds in school do go along with peppy School "Pride". In other words, if you don't do stuff for the school, like play on a team or decorate the whole damn school. I personally can't stand my school, thus i am an outcast/nerd/geek/whatever the hell term they wanna use. Its funny how everyonce in a while they (jocks) say i am gay, then i just take it back on them when i say " But i am not the one in the shower with 20 other naked men..am I?"

Yes you people are right when he term also go's along with being able to use a computer, and getting good grades. Hell I was a freshmen in Physics, Calculus, and C++ Fundamentals so i was (and still am) considered a Nerd.

Of course i have had my fair share of Cheerleaders if you know what i mean... and when the jocks came up and complained... i did DOA sh*t on um.. Heee Double elbows behind me...

Yes - This just in: underage drinking is bad ...

I'm a nerd (by most standards), but I'm also a martial arts nerd. Therefore I'm a healthy nerd (because I study one of those arts that make you feel inadequate unless you can do at least 50 military pushups, etc.). I may be a slim freak, but I'm hardly ever noticed by the chicks . I'm not at the point where I'm gonna start looking for steroids, but just because I'm not a serious bodybuilder doesn't mean I'm any less of a male!

I see that I'm mearly venting my frustration - lol. But hey, there's nothing wrong with being a nerd as long as you like you the way you are - not always the case!

Northen, I wouldn't worry about the action ... believe me it's far better with just someone thats special than 100 floozies
Kinda why I gave up on that club girls a good while ago.

Taking any suppliment is a waste of time, your body gets used to it and dependant. When you stop doseage it then becomes weaker than before. Same with everything, which is why its so damn bad to get Anti-Biotics for cold and using Advil every little headache you have. A little pain never killed anyone, what you save one getting used to today will have better results when you need to use them.

Sides as a nerd there is only so far you'd be able to go in martial arts, might seem like a nice little sport that anyone can do but its just as tough as any of the other fighting styles.
Boxing, Tai Kickboxing (personal favourite), Wrestling, etc...
each of them are easy to get into, but after a while it gets alot harder and time consuming

you honestly see any nerds getting too far into it? i'm sure they'd give up in the early days when the sensei comes around with his stick and wacks the back of your legs to force you to spilts or when you do something wrong.

though knowing the laws now they're probably not allowed to do that are they? God do I remember that vividly. Started it because I figured it would be simple, how the heck wrong was I lol

I'm not a nerd, I'm big in sports(track,basketball), roll with the middle class. Wouldn't say I'm popular, but rather respected. Personally, I consider myself ahead of my time at my school, though that may be going a little too far.(acedemically speaking)

Just because you program, doesn't mean your a nerd, and if you think you are, then you probebly are, otherwise you're cool.
