Dark GDK .NET / Visual Studio Copy Local Build Action?

For other DLL libraries, using the Copy Local build action allows you to install your application and its references in one go. Has anyone experienced any issues with this option with DarkGDK.NET? I'd like to still pack the redistributable just in-case an initiation exception arises; as is what is done for checking if the user has DirectX 9.0. Is the redistributable the only option? It's a bit much for small games, but is no major issue.
