Is it possible to load a new script within a script?

Yes, using the action "RUNFPI=X" --> used to run another FPI script by name X(ie appear1.fpi)".

I had issues with having scripts bounce to and from scripts. But I have to look into it more deeply. But using the command the one time works great. But sequential I had issues but again could be something I'm doing wrong.
