Just some stuff Ive been working on, I made all of the base models last night, so none of them are complete yet, just the rough proportions and whatnot.

Ill post more as I make progress.

They look nice, i especially like the four legged bug thing.

I would suggest getting rid of that shader though, I've used it before and it doesn't do anything for non textured models apart from hide detail. Gimme the standard shader any day.

They all look really nice, but as Oolite said, get rid of the shader, Try using Ambient Occlusion, it's really good at making details more apparent.

Meh, I like the shader, I find it provides more detail than a typical wax shader. Ofcourse AO would provide the best detail but none of these models are done yet so I havent rendered a single one, theyre just screenshots from ZBrush. Thanks for the input.

Some quick progress on the woman soldier's clothing, still all just rough proportions:

Ruccus,

I like the "2 Legged Freak" the best! Is it based off of some els's concept or is it 100% yours?

I would really like to see your final render of this one after sculpted details, if you plan on doing that.

The shader looks to me as if it's something from Borderlands or something of the such, which isn't good for showing the model out of game.

I dunno, I still dont get it. 2 Degrees in fine arts and a bachelors in computer animation and I dont see what damage this shader is causing as all of the details Ive modeled and want visible are easily visible to me, but regardless if everyone else thinks theres a problem then Ill stop using it.

@That Guy John

Yes he's my concept, unless under contract I dont tend to use other people's concepts. Thanks for the comment.

It's fine for in-game, just not for showcasing the models, it's not a bad shader in itself, just not for publicly displaying them, but that's me, and several other people, keep them if you want, just a suggestion i guess.

But to the models!
I like your models a lot, i would pay to have skills like you really (which you have paid), i really need it at the moment because i am working on characters for my game, which characters isn't my specialty.

What he could do is make two different shader renders?

I'm loving the models, and the shader rocks. My only crit is the humans look gaunt, very high/deep cheek bones. Maybe it's the shader that's giving it that look, not sure.

Good stuff.
