I am new to scripting and have worked with some tutorials. Can someone tell me if there is anything wrong with this script? Will it work. It takes a while for my test games to load and I'd like to get an idea of anything I may need to tweek before I apply it.

To actually shoot the player, the character needs to set the player as it's target. You should change the line
to this:
Then it should be fine.
