steps and groundsounds are changing with each type of floor, so you have to look what you are using and change. do a savety copy before deleting anything.

you can found footsteps in "files/audiobank..." ... mmmh, wrong machine atm^^ ... misc or enviroment i dont remember. but its easy to find them.

all of the footstep sound effects are located at file/audiobank/materials.

Or you could edit the materialdefault.txt and make all of the floors play a silent sound.

Is there a way to slow down the sound of a step between each step?

Seriously, the way the player foot steps play is completely unrealistic. Its sounds like the player takes 5 steps every meter. Perhaps if you were a 2 year old running around in the game then this would be reallistic. Anyway to adjust the length of time between each step? I have tried lengthening the .wav files but that doesnt work.

@Landman
You should add a silence at the start of the sound, not the end. Then it should work.

Replacing them with some good quality ones off the internet is always a great start! Feel free to get creative.

I agree that the footsteps sounds is kinda awful sometimes. The metal footstep sounds is ok thou,,, but I donot know if editing or replacing them will do any better because sometimes the footstep sounds just stops, and comes back when I moved the player a distance, must be something with the engine code,,,

@Dark Frager
In the 119 beta, the jumping and landing sounds are replaced by footsteps, it sounds MUCH better lol. No more hiccups.
