3 Dimensional Chat / Frap has been busy and itrs not an aeroplane

As the telly over Christmas has been pretty appauling and the girl has been working for pretty much all of it I have been busy creating a Porsche 962c just to show you guys that may remember me that I am not just a one trick pony and I can do something else rather than aircraft.



I need to tweek the interior a little before starting the unwrap and should hopefully be on the texturing in the next day or two

Too updates to the geometry to mention but I have started on the diffuse, dont worry it wont remain this clean, I also havnt sorted the alpha channel as yet hence the reaon the interior has dissapeared for now.

Ive finished the first pass of the diffuse and got the alpha sorted, gonna take the rest of the day off as I think I need a break now and back to work tommorow so progress will slow.

Just had some Awesome news, after posting these images on 3d for games forum I have been contacted by the lead vehicle modeller for Simbin who wants a closer look at the model.

Ive been playing with a specular map with some hit and miss results so keeping them to myself for now, but I have done a secong skin for it now.

Great work Frap, but why does it seem like the newer renders all have a slight blur to them? The old renders looked a lot sharper IMO Are you using softer lighting instead of harder one now?

Got some great feedback from Simbin, and some really good insights to what they expect. Gonna bin this one and start something new that I am more familiar with, still a car though.

That's good news, Frap! I really like all three textures. The first one would be my favorite. I like the blue/white color scheme. What's the poly count running?

My green thumb grew the tree my Trojan War horse was crafted from. With roses in our pockets we rally round the tombstones. Ashes to ashes, we all fall down.
