It can take quite a long time to get an answer on the forums, especially if it isn't a straight forward question like "how do I print text on the screen" . Be patient.

Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

edit: I just realized that it didn't upload the pictures, sorry. I sent another one with a .doc attached instead.

Lo and behold, the deed is done

It's around 450k now, I used winrar to compress it. I assume that you have a program to open rar files...

I've tried the DirectX JT exporter in milkshape 3D and I still dont get no animations exported!!! And as far as the animation button is concerned here... Are you referring to the key-framer animation button when used to set/test animations in milkshape 3D ?!?

Can you please give details as to how to set up the exporter to export my model animations in the DirectX model file format???
I would be greatly appreciate it very much so...!
I might be doing something wrong when trying to make the settings in the exporter before I save to .X file format...
It would be nice to have the animations along with the base model..!!
All I seem to get is a single model mesh with no animations when i export using the DirectX JT exporter in milkshape 3D...

thank's guys for all your kind help in advance!!

I really have to explain that i wasn't awake yet when i posted the last messages and i'm really sorry for The wrong shot and everything. (I planted the wrong shot on my site ) so now i've posted the right one (Now i'm not sick anymore so hope you're not angry or upset or anything cuz it wouldn't work but you just try it again the mistake i made was: that direct x skin and bones had to be direct x retained mode and Matrix Keys had to be off hope it helps (This time) or else you can either call me stupid or you just be annoyed.

(Sorry)

Oh Man!

I dont know!!! It must be me doing sometihing wrong or something?!?
I just can't seem to export any animations at all in the so-called popular " .3ds " model format...!
Is there suppose to be some special way to export in this damn file format??? I personally dont see how in the heck other people manage to use this frick'n file format for their models with animations???
Oh well... I guess it will be like the mystery of the blow-pop lolly pops...The world will never know!!!!

The .x model has two different types of animation...

Direct X 7 .X file support has the old keyframing (non boned) animation.

Direct X 8+ .X file format uses Bones and weighted bones

3D Studio (3DS) model format is like the Direct X 7 .x file format.
