Does anyone know of a decent free 3d modeller out there or one very cheap i have anim8or and 3d game studio modeller but i find both very complicated to use especially 3d studio.

It's not a 3D modeller as much as a 3d design program, but DoGA CGA really excels at space craft and mecha, if that's what you need to model.
