How stable would FPSC be if 20 levels are added to a final build?

Do you mean stable building 20 levels or stable playing after it's built?

I think he means playing, I have been wondering this too. I do have a 20+ level game. I tried it though and it didn't get past loading the first level. We should probably just fill it in with chapters.

Might I ask, how long are these levels supposed to take to play through?

yeah, 20 x 1,8gb is way harder to handle for fpsc than 20 x 900mb-levels. but slayer has threads where talking of 350.000 polys and gamebuild for powermachines, so i think he thought of BIG levels.

i think some(most) of Wolfs projects have 10+ levels and these are readybuild games (running) and part commercial, so that would be a reference. i think its more a question of level-cleaning (meshes, scripts, map, sounds etc.) to run a bigger game propperly.

FPSC is a relatively stable engine. It does have it's bugs and oddities, but I've played a couple of forum games and found no problems unless I was trying to load a saved game. Generally speaking, the more levels you have, the more room for bugs to creep in.

The levels are decent in size, hopefully 20 levels will be able to cope with the engine.

Are you saying maho that if the each level were for example say 900MB. It could possibly run?

I have read here about 7-9 fullsizelevels (so 1,85gb) but think wolf has done more, otherhand 20+ 900mb levels. but as said, i think there is simply more to calculate in bigger levels where you or the engine can get in trouble with.
my personal thought (not experience) is that its possible to get 20+ levels with this, IF the levels, scripts, models etc. are perfectly cleaned and arranged in the right way (think of variables or wrong-and-messed-but-working-things in scripts) ... and IF fpsc has a good day.
out of my experience fpsc does another job with each build. one works, the next without any editing does not. so its worth to build more than 1 version in a session to give the engine a second chance.^^
