Ive been only modeling for a week and I wanted to share my progress on my first character that I will be releasing when done. Im using blender. Please give me c&c on it as I need to learn.

I'm pretty sure you would get better feedback in the 3D Section (and I don't doubt a mod is going to move it there ). I think you got the basic head outline proportions right, though I HIGHLY recommend you take a look at what the features of an actual head look like... He looks more like a snowman right now

It's not a bad start but 1 thing is for sure and that is that the poly count is way to high. If I read it right I think says close to 83,000 Faces\polys.

My suggestion would be to start with this tutorial here (http://cgcookie.com/blender/2011/01/14/human_base_mes/) to learn the basic shape of the head. Then move to this tutorial here (http://cgcookie.com/blender/2010/01/28/topology-overview-the-head/) to learn topology of the head.

I only followed the first link and tend to work things out in my own way and made a 600 poly head (see image below).
