Working on the 5th lvl of game HAG ATTACK.
FPS Creator 1.18.017 version

SETUP.ini is basic, I had to turn off all but basic Lightmapping as build would crash saying game exceeded 1.850GIG

Setuplevel.fpi

I have exausted my abilities to dysect the problem here.

Game builds easy and fast. However the frame rate is terrible when running it. In test mode framerate is 60+ but when running the built game framerate is 8 to 16.
No changes on my system,
computer specs

I have no idea why the framerate dumps upon a build. Or why the ESC key will not work to end the game. I have not changed any setup.ini or setuplevel.fpi settings for any of the 5 levels.
I edited everything for setuplevel.fpi at level one.

I build each level seperate to test them, then build the whole game when all is working as it should.

You can download level 5 at my web site. Please respect the code as most is from Blackfox, Ched80, FPSCreator, and many others.

I need to know why ESC is not working, and why the framerate is so bad. You will notice all NPC's will walk through the walls. Shoot through windows and doors. Even though the windows are set at strength 0.

ESC does work on the other 4 levels.

You do seem to have a nice collection of problems there.
Have you tried re-installing v118? You may have a broken FPSC-Game.exe or some other file may be broken.
It's odd that the built game lags so much as I usually see an improvement with the built game.

As a side note, to help reduce the build size of your game try changing the light map texture size to 256.

Edit: also since you have a 64 bit system you can turn the memory cap off so you should be able to build games bigger than 2GB.

I did a reinstall but added upgraded to 1.9.007 then went to the temp dir and deleted all the dbpdata files then reloaded the game that I was having all the problems with. It still would not allow exiting the game with the ESC key. However all the other test games would. SO i just deleted that game.

Err how do I change the size? Setup.ini? not sure how to do this.

WOW that is great. But will it cause problems for users running XP 32bit?
